Distributed 253 food and hygiene packages

Within the project "Return and Reintegration in Kosovo, Fifth Phase (EU-RRK-5)", which the Ministry for Communities and Return co-finances with the European Union Office (EU) in Kosovo, and is being implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), distribution of the remaining 200 food and hygiene aid packages for vulnerable families, displaced persons and returnees, who returned to Kosovo in previous years as part of the RRK-5 project, were beneficiaries of this assistance package.
So far, 253 families or a total of 1387 people, mostly from the Roma, Ashkali, Egyptian, Bosniak and Serb communities, have been helped in the two phases of the distribution of food and hygiene aid packages within the RRK-5 project. In addition to the packages, IOM staff distributed leaflets to the World Health Organization in Romani, Albanian and Serbian on prevention measures against COVID-19.
The Ministry for Communities and Return in cooperation with the EU Office in Kosovo, in partnership with IOM, is implementing the EU-RRK 5 project in 13 municipalities in Kosovo, namely: Fushë Kosovo/Polje, Gjakova/Djakovica, Gjilan/Gnjilane, Graqanice/Gracanica, Istok/Istog, Kamenica, Klina, Novoberde/Novo Brdo, Obiliq/Obilic, Peja/Pec, Prizren, Rahovec/Orahovac and Shterpce/Strpce.
