Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Communities and Returns in Resignation, Dalibor Jevtic, met today in Pristina with the Ambassador of France to Kosovo, Didier Chabert. Jevtic and Chabert discussed the steps that can improve the position of non-majority peoples in Kosovo, as well as how to solve current problems for the benefit of everyone living in Kosovo.
Community of Serbian municipalities was one of the main topics. The Minister informed the French ambassador that the establishment of the CSM is essential for the Serb people, as it will contribute to the improvement of areas such as education, health, urban and rural planning and economy, when it comes to the Serb municipalities in Kosovo, in a more concrete way .
They also talked about projects that can help returnees survive and stay on their property.
"With the combined forces and with the help of all - the European Union, the United States, the Government of Kosovo, the Government of Serbia, we can reach the goal that has long been outlined, that is, we have a greater number of returnees in Kosovo and that this return is sustainable in every sense," stressed Jevtic
Regarding the position of the Serbian List in the Assembly and the Government of Kosovo, Jevtic informed the Ambassador that the position of the Serb List is still unchanged from the position adopted after the March 26 event and that the mandate that he and his colleagues in the Government are performing is technical.
Two officials also spoke about the Ski Center in Brezovica. The Minister told the Ambassador that the Mayor of Strpce Bratislav Nikolic had an idea and a plan how to solve the issue of the Ski Center. Jevtic said that the communication of this idea will be supported by both Belgrade and Pristina, as well as representatives of the international community in the sense that the solution is economical, not political.
This is the second meeting in the last six months of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Communities and Return Dalibor Jevtic with the French Ambassador to Kosovo Didier Chabert.
